Government cannot say this as 'One Rank One Pension' (OROP), once it is not. A simple interpretation for OROP is if two Soldiers is retired with same rank and length of service should get same amount as pension irrespective of the year they retired, whether 1953 or 2007.
When they don’t get same-Government has no right to call this OROP. They had run few schemes to bridge the gap; they can say this is a similar one.
I was in Military service and working for a software company now. So I can compare the Military service and a Civilian service better then many. Military is High Risk service, physically, or other wise. Tougher Work conditions and combat readiness for the threats make it a profession only dedicated and patriots can serve.
Whether an officer or men, in Defence services we paid less then civilian equalents. Pension is only thing which guarantees the smoother (rest of) the life after a tougher profession.
Please pay as promised, or say we cannot do for these bla bla reasons, as you were saying for decades. Don’t fool some one who sacrificed his Youth and Life for Protecting the country and Government.
